My Valentine [Mr. Keegan]

 I have been totally blessed with three healthy kids! My youngest and most "strong willed" is Mr. Keegan Foster Chapman. He is a beautiful redhead that loves army men and getting dirty! He has a huge imagination and LOVES to dress in costumes. We decided that this Valentines Day we would make our own Valentines for the kids to hand out. When I asked Hallie what valentine she wanted she had plenty of ideas. She went and picked out her own outfit and had her hair fixed! Keegan was a little more tricky! I gave him two valentine card examples and asked which he preferred. Of course neither were to his standard...too "Girly"! I explained that Valentines Day was a little "Girly" and that everyone in his class would have cards that would be about love or friendship. He finally gave in Saturday. He was eating chocolate pudding and had it all over his face. He yelled, "Mom, I think its time to take my Bal-antine's Pictures." So with the biggest smile and chocolate on his face he let me take three pictures. Here are our favorites...

***I cleaned off his face using photoshop, although the actual messy face picture was cute!

Hallie Anne [Heart]

We decided to make our own Valentines this year for the kids classes. I asked Hallie to pick out her own outfit and she even did her own hair! Here are a few of our favorites. I also added the Valentine she made for her to give her classmates.

[Two Become One] Rex and Bridget

I have been very lucky to get to photograph the lives of some of my classmates from High School. When Bridget sent me a message that Rex proposed I was so excited for her! Bridget makes me smile every time I see her. Her laugh is contagious! When we shot her engagement pictures we were hoping for mild weather-that didn't happen! We had high wind and SNOW! I received a message from her before we met that said..."It snowed!" I giggled knowing it would be okay. Even though we froze off our tails and had runny noses they turned out great! You can see that these two are in love and when Rex looks at Bridget there is a sparkle in his eyes! May 19, 2012 they will become man and wife! I am so excited to share their special day with them! ~Jessica

[Jan. 2012] A Day with the Allomong Family

I had the pleasure of spending the day with this beautiful family a couple of weeks ago!! We had a backdrop, some lights and Lots of Fun!! I have to say though, I had lots of tears when I looked at the finished product! Between Zander being a goofball and Kelly and Brandon wrestling around, I think they turned out simply stunning! Here a few of my favorites from the shoot...

Laughing- The Best of 2011

I got invited into a photography group on facebook a few weeks ago and they do monthly challenges. January's challenge was a photo or photos about laughing. I didn't even have to think-my laughing photo came to mind. As I went through all my picture folder's I remembered how much fun I had with this family. Not only did they make me laugh the entire time I was shooting them, but they made me appreciate what real quality family time is! When I left them and went to the next shoot I realized that I too needed to put my family first and make good memories with them. With all this blah blah blah being said...here you go! This by far is the BEST set of photo's of my 2011! Meet the Gibler-Suffel Family!

Back to the swing of things...

Today is the last day of my vacation. I am back to the swing of things tomorrow! I may not of been shooting, but I have been busy researching and planning my 2012 year. I am investing in a new camera and things to have a studio in my home. I am very excited to be finally expanding my business. If you would of asked me 3 years ago when I left my job what I would be doing right now I would of answered..."Dishes and Laundry!" I totally felt lost and out of control of everything when I stopped working. I remember one night I prayed that God would lead my in the direction I was supposed to go. I needed a purpose! I always knew being a mommy and a wife was something I would be, but never here....a growing business owner-and a photography business to-boot! With a positive mind and a loving heart I know this year is going to be the best year yet!  Keep watching for some family-newborn-and first birthday shoots in the next week! ~Jessica

In Between Laundry: 20 Minute Missions {Countdown to Christmas}

So I can finally rest...for a bit! It's New Years Day!! I sat here thinking about all the things I had going on the last few months-My photography business including my tutu's and hair things and kids that are involved in EVERYTHING! Jaxon (who is plays every sport) is in traveling basketball. Hallie (the nine year old) is in dance and starting basketball. Then my baby, (Keegan-the four year old) is in preschool and starting a biddy wrestling program. I feel like I haven't had any down time. I can actually say I haven't sat and watched a tv show for a while-I have just listened. Then the Holidays arrived. I think I forgot what sleep was. I had a brilliant idea to hand make all my gifts for family and friends-What Was I Thinking? Then I had to shop for my own kids and then try to wrap everything. Did I forget to mention that I live with a neat freak? Oh, and all the class parties we needed homemade snacks for?! I wish I would of found this blog before I got myself in the Holiday swing... In Between Laundry: 20 Minute Missions {Countdown to Christmas}. I will totally be using her 20 min. Missions and keep the Holidays-not the Horrible-days for my family! God Bless!
